Our Story

In 2023, Rajesh was helping his client set up an Islamic finance bank. In 21 years, having helped three other banks start up their operations in the UK and two others set up their operations in the Middle East and Africa, Rajesh was perplexed by the lack of cooperation from this new client. He had drawn on the depths of his 25+ years of experience, but the new CEO would not get on board. Rajani (Rajanikanth) had been roped in to help with this start-up. One fine evening at 8pm, as both pushed back their chairs in their offices, trying to understand the client’s unhelpfulness, Rajesh said he was done. He muttered to Rajani, “One day we will set up a bank on Hindu principles,” and they left for the day.

Fast forward to November 2024, when Sashi (Sashidhar) met Rajani on business matters, one thing led to another, ending in a tri-party meeting between Rajesh, Sashi, and Rajani. A very quiet Greggs, in Canary Wharf, London, provided just the right space to get on the same page. A few meetings, coffees, and conversations later, an idea was born with a plan to execute. e-Lakshmi Money is the first step in that plan. My expertise spans designing transformation strategies that deliver measurable ROI, developing efficient operating models, leading multi-million-dollar initiatives, and building high-performing, cross-functional teams. I’m passionate about the intersection of financial services and emerging technologies, helping organizations balance innovation, risk, and efficiency.
